Hey JT đź‘‹

It's been a pleasure working with you this past year, especially during our time working on the Security libraries. Also, I appreciate your time and input in helping improve the Redlining kit.

You're such a legend, bringing immense value to the team, with your incredible work ethic. It’s not easy to find designers taking so much consideration about our users in every small aspect of our work. Your continuous questioning and valuable feedback have helped me so much in delivering great solutions.

This is a great quality that promotes critical thinking and pushes ideas forward across teams.

Also, you are an expert in applying the Enterprise Design Thinking practices and I’ve seen the incredible impact you are making with the NG SIEM project. Your ability to create clear and compelling user-centred designs is inspiring. I still have so much to learn from you!!!

To that point, I would encourage you to promote your eminence and allow some of your time to share your process and experience so that can be a guide to less experienced designers.

Keep up the extraordinary work!

In general, I noticed that at appropriate times you always call out things during meetings for the sake of improving a product even if it goes against what other people are saying. You stand by your opinion with points to back it up. As a result, it helps everyone else see things they may not have seen before which overall positively impacts what we deliver on stories.

For the XDR and DRC project, you took the initiative to create the XDR and DRC ecosystem FigJam which became the starting point of our teams understanding on the relationship between the three personas. No one asked you to do this, but you did this to understand (in a fun way) the product better and shared it with us so the team could contribute and learn together. Ultimately, this helped the team figure out the roadmap and generate stories for what needs to be worked on.

Working with you has been great! I really appreciate you. You’re super nice, friendly, helpful, supportive, patient, and passionate. You’re always willing to help others even when you have many things on your own plate.

For playbooks, you assisted me with my first story and guided me through the whole Figma and handoff process. You were willing to share your knowledge and check in with me to see if I was on the right track. You also assured, encouraged, and walked me through the presentations when I was super nervous which gave me confidence. Thanks JT!

As for passionate, your need for leaving users with a good experience can be seen throughout the many meetings, projects and in the research and understanding that you do. Seeing you do a lot of good work motivates me (and I’m sure everyone else on the team) to try even harder to improve my skills so I can also help create the best experience possible.

The quality of your work is excellent! As stated before, you always strive to create a good/best user experience even if it means starting things over or pointing out potential pain points. I noticed you say “If I was the user… (insert possible problem)” a lot, which shows that you are always thinking from their POV.

For visual design, you can tell by eye that something is off by one pixel, and that shows you are attentive to detail.

Ultimately, the work you do and your work ethic is excellent.
